Stray dog found crying on side of road immediately goes in for kiss from rescuer
This woman has spent most of her time rescuing dogs in whichever way she can. Even one dog gives her the most thankful kiss after being rescued.

Thousands of dogs are abandoned every day, and no matter how much we want to help, there is just no way that we can save all of them. Although, it is a good thing that people can at least help reduce the stray population even in the littlest way.

Fort Worth’s infamous Echo Lake Park is popular as a hotspot where people abandon their unwanted pets.

Wherever you look, you’ll see stray dogs and cats roaming around just because they have no place to be. They’re hungry, injured, and weak but they are trying their hardest to survive. It’s heart-wrenching to know that such a place exists on earth.

She knows she couldn’t save them all, but she never lost the will to save the animals.

Judy Obregon is a name that has become famous because of her unyielding efforts in rescuing abandoned and stray dogs at Forth Worth.

She is the founder of The Abandoned One’s Animal (TAO) Rescue, a non-profit organization that aims to save dogs in every chance they get. Obregon makes daily visits to Echo Park to look for animals to save.

In one of her daily cruises on Echo Lake Park, she found yet another dog to rescue.

Standing still on the overgrown grass in the park, Obregon was able to spot a lanky stray laying on the ground. The moment the dog spotted the car passing by, she quickly lifted her head to watch them.

Upon closer inspection, the dog was wearing a broken black tether probably from struggling to break free from the fence she was attached to.

“The saddest part is that even when she broke free of the string, she still stayed in the same spot as if waiting for the people who left her there,” she told The Dodo.

She took the poor dog in her car, and something unexpected happened.

When Obregon started driving, she took a glance at the pooch sitting beside her. It looks like the pooch was looking back at the area she was found.

She might have realized that she’s leaving that sad past behind and she suddenly reached out to Obregon to give her a kiss. The dog was thankful that she responded to her call for help.

The rescue dog, now named Callie, is living the best life she could ever have.

Callie was fed, bathed, and given a comfortable place to rest. After spending some time with Obregon, she was then sent to a foster home until they think she’s ready for adoption.

On June 29, 2017, TAO rescue posted an update of Callie being finally adopted by one of their regulars at their vet. It’s a good thing that Obregon could still have plenty of chances to see Callie, now Lucy whenever they visit.

Fort Worth’s dog rescuer never rests.

With her continuous persistence and efforts, Obregon was able to save hundreds of dogs. Her admirable actions have been highly recognized by the world, and she continues to do what she can along with everyone’s generous help.

If you want to support Obregon and the rest of the TOA volunteers, feel free to donate whatever you can to them. It will surely be a great help for them and the animals.
