True friendship is a powerful thing. It’s a bond unlike any other.

This wholesome animal bond resulted in something you wouldn’t see on an ordinary day.

An adorable puppy took his wild horse friend on a walk.

On a farm in Kalkite, South New Wales, this intelligent pup named Odin was filmed walking a 10-month-old brumby (Australian for wild) colt named Mojo.

With the colt in training, they needed all the help they could get.

Odin had no problem stepping in to help with the process.

Odin is actually a very intelligent young pup.

You’ll see for yourself, Odin is over the moon to have the chance to take his friend for a walk. He wags his tail as he walks with purpose, leading Mojo with a lead rope in his mouth.

While Odin is definitely excited, he takes his job seriously.

There might’ve been some hiccups along the way.

As they begin their journey, you can see that the young horse tries to resist a little, but Odin doesn’t break focus with the task at hand.

He doesn’t give in and gives his friend a little nudge by tugging on the rope until Mojo continued to follow.

Once Odin took control, he was on his way, wagging his tail.

You can see he’s quite proud of the work he’s been able to accomplish. The interaction is so cute, even the owner recording the video let out a little chuckle.

Mojo’s already had enough of it.

Not wanting to walk any further, Mojo puts his hoof on the rope, bringing them both to a halt. Odin hasn’t forgotten his job, though.

He tugs on the rope, trying to get his friend to move. Sadly, the young colt is much bigger than the pup, making it an easy win for Mojo.

You can hear the owner chuckling at the end saying, “That’s not fair, Mojo”. With the size difference, it definitely wasn’t a fair fight.

According to Wag, horses and dogs are companion-driven animals. This makes them instinctively seek company.

Since dogs are pack animals, they are more than happy to be a horse’s ideal companion if trained to do so. They can protect and keep the horses safe and actually become pretty close.
