The heart-melting story of a special rescued pitbull

Meet Aladdin, the pit bull who never hesitates to use his amazing ability to soothe people’s hearts. While he was being petted by people in the Compton neighborhood, he saw a kid who was diagnosed with brain cancer.

Without giving any warning, he jumped up and ran towards him, making the little boy smile.

It’s amazing how this pit bull instantly knows which person needs help, and he immediately gets up to respond to their needs.

Right now, he’s an amazing therapy dog who lives with his dog-mom Michele. They go out to different places, looking for people who need help, especially in times of crisis.

Aladdin had never failed to do a great job, and you can just see how he works so hard to help other people by sharing his love.

“He just really loves people, especially kids, he has a big connection with kids,” Michele told The Dodo.

In fact, he even impressed the beloved New York’s Punk Stylist, Jimmy Webb with his amazing trait at the time they met each other.

“That’s what made me think that he would be a great therapy dog,” Michele added.

Before he became this admirable therapy dog, he had a very heartbreaking past.

Aladdin was rescued from the shelter. Before he was even housed at the shelter, he was treated horribly that he lived with lots of broken bones and was deprived of love. Because of that, he couldn’t walk or sit like any normal dog and had lots of trouble every single day. Unfortunately, until now, the person who did these to him was never caught.

It must be fate when Aladdin met Michele at the shelter.

Michele fell in love the instant he saw the poor Aladdin at the shelter. She took him home, fed him, and even helped her recover from his physical and emotional traumas. He became the lovable therapy dog that has glued himself on the hearts of everyone he meets.

The sad state of the pit bull breed.

A lot of people think badly about pit bulls. In fact, they mostly think that they’re terrifying and always intimidating. Even though some are still afraid by the fact that Aladdin’s a pit bull, with a bunch of fun costumes Michele provides, that thought instantly fades away.

Perhaps this breed’s history was one of the factors why this stereotype was formed.

Their history could be traced back to the early 19th century in the United Kingdom. People at that time enjoy watching two pit bulls fighting to the death. As such, they were only bred to perform in a cruel sport they call “bull-baiting.”

This tradition only stopped in 1835 after their government enacted the Cruelty to Animals Act 1835. However, the illegal pit fighting never completely ceased even until now.

Despite all the things that Aladdin had gone through, he never did hate humans.

He might have thought that no one deserves to be treated like him, so he shares his love for everyone instead. Thanks to Michele, he was able to live a new life slowly proving the stereotypes about pit bulls wrong.

“You think about, like all the lives he’s touched, all the connections he’s made, wouldn’t have happened,” Michele said.
