Playtime Is Never Over

Wild cats are adored and respected by many, especially zoo keepers and wildlife experts. They realize that some need protection and care due to dangerous injuries that prevent them from being reintroduced into the pack since it would jeopardize their survival. Those willing to lend a hand to these animals in need truly deserve respect for being brave and selfless enough to dedicate their life to the service of these spectacular creatures.

Eduardo Serio is one of these amazing conservationist. His home is at the Black Jaguar White Tiger sanctuary for wild cats in Mexico where he cares for a multitude of wild cats such as tigers, leopards, and lions. It’s pretty incredible to think that a person can commit to being around a pack of ravenous animals who can pounce and strike at any moment’s time.

Well, that’s exactly what happened one day

Serio was playing with a group of lions and enjoying their company. He slowly pats them on the tummy and lets them know he’s here to be friendly and play with them without any form of threat. Suddenly, things took a step towards the other direction when a leopard in the background of the video clip began inching closer to Serio.

His intentions weren’t very clear, but let’s just assume he was being aloof and give him the benefit of a wild animal. As Serio disregards his distractions, he continues to joyfully tussle with his lion pack and continues to make them feel loved and appreciated. After a moment, you start to notice a tiger in the background also assuming a territorial position by sitting down dominantly. Don’t forget to keep your eye on this tiger!

Remember the leopard that was innocently roaming around in the background? Without warning, the leopard begins to make its move towards Serio and the pack of lions. Then, the crazed leopard darts as fast as a speeding bullet towards Serio and his lions as if it were to attack!

The leopard rushes Serio with all its might and things look as if they are about to get ugly

In a flash, the tiger that was previously docile in the background realizes what was coming towards the pack and decides to take action. He uses his body and force to stop the leopard in its tracks before it finally reaches Serio. The fact that the tiger thought to protect Serio and the pack is truly flabbergasting!

After the heart-stopping tackle, the leopard did manage to reach Serio, but we find out immediately that his intentions were just pure from the start. It seems like he just wanted to play with the rest of his feline cousins as he throws his body in jest atop Serio’s lap.

The heroic tiger, who is named Aztlan, deserves a medal of honor

What a showstopper this striped beast is! Dharma, the spotted leopard, sure wasn’t expecting to be rivaled at any point in his sprint towards his handler. Who knows what would’ve happened if the tiger didn’t intervene.
