From a young age, we learn the sounds made by different animals.

There are the classic dog woof, cat meow, horse neigh, and cow moo. But what about some of the more unusual animals? You might not know this, but foxes actually giggle. Yes, you read that right; they giggle like children!

Well, maybe it’s not a giggle per se, but it sure sounds like one. Like cats and dogs, foxes make a range of sounds.

But in this video, two foxes named Finnegan and Dixie Doo giggle as one of their handlers comes into their enclosure to say hello.

As soon as she does, the two foxes cannot contain themselves. They are so excited to see her! Finnegan rolls over to get his belly rubbed and continues to make the giggling sound. He absolutely loves the attention as if he is a puppy!

Then, Dixie Doo climbs up on the woman, making herself a seat on her head. Dixie’s tail is in the woman’s face, but it doesn’t seem like either mind one bit!

Dixie Doo and Finnegan live at SaveAFox Rescue, the largest fox rescue in the United States.

They take in foxes that were bred in fur farms or are surrendered by pet owners. Although it is legal to own foxes in several states, it is not always the best idea.

Unfortunately, people sometimes adopt a pet without realizing how much work they are to take care of.

This can happen with dogs, cats, and other common animals, but it happens with foxes too. People purchase them from a breeder and realize they are over in their heads.

Foxes have become domesticated over several decades to like dogs. Part of this domestication is losing their fear of humans. However, they are not fully domesticated, and it is not a good idea to approach a fox if you see one in the wild.

Luckily, many people who own foxes as pets post lots of videos so everyone can see how amazing they are! There is everything from giggling to eating, cuddling, and jumping in a compellation of pet foxes!

One fox even shares an ice cream cone with a dog!

Does it get any better than that? It looks like the two are very happy living together, which is so cool to see! Often, foxes are seen as aggressive or dangerous, and yes, wild ones might be, but we think they are a little misunderstood.

Another fox is sleeping in a piece of furniture and sounds like he might be making noises in his dreams! Dogs do this sometimes, making little woof sounds as they dream; it might be the most adorable thing ever!

Because all of the foxes at SaveAFox Rescue were born into captivity, they can never be released into the wild.

This is because they do not have the skills needed to survive on their own. Because of this, the foxes at the rescue are actually up for adoption! To those that qualify, of course.
