A buffalo makes its way onto a trampoline and jumps
It's hard to tell whether he loves it or completely hates it.

When, two years ago, Aaron Benitez and his girlfriend decided to get married, he had to choose one of his best friends to be his best man.

However, to everyone’s surprise, he didn’t opt for a human, but he decided that the best idea would be to make his favorite feline, Prince Michael, his best man.

The incident made the news at the time, of course, and people talked about it for a long time afterwards.

However, this man was not the first one to choose an animal to be his best man, and, certainly, a cat is not the weirdest animal that as ever assumed this role.

What beats everything is a buffalo, who became best man for his owners’ renewing of vows not once or twice, but three times in the past!

American buffalo or American bison is North America’s largest land animal. It is usually 6 feet tall and 10 feet long, while it can reach 2,000 pounds in weight.

The bison species has managed to remain alive, although in the 19th century it was almost exterminated for food and clothing, shelter, tools, and ceremonial implements. However, their population dramatically reduced from 30-60 million to only 1,000 in 1890.

While native Americans and Europeans tried to domesticate bison, the species was never completely domesticated and it is characterized by a wild temperament. This is made obvious also in parks where bison have often attacked people who ignored safety measures and approached them for selfies.

Can, after all, bison be raised as pets?

Well, not really. It is said that bottle raised bison can to some extend be tamed, but they can never really be considered pets as they tend to still be fearful of humans.

However, the couple who owns the buffalo in the video below, claims to have fully tamed this massive animal. In the description of the video, the owner, who calls themselves “the buffalo whisperer”, explains that not only has the buffalo in question been best man at their vow renewing three times already, but it is also a friendly animal.

While they admit that buffalos are some of the most dangerous animals, they still argue theirs is a friendly one.

The huge mammal, 4 years old at the time and already weighing 1,900 pounds, was said to love human interaction and social gatherings such as parties.

“We give this big boy birthday parties, with streamers, [icing] shaped like buffalo poop with a candle on top,” the owner writes in the description box.

Apart from that, the gigantic animal is also said to love hanging out with other animals.

“[H]e plays basketball and loves new baby animals such as baby goats, cats, dogs, horses.”

And, of course, being as playful as he is, he couldn’t not love the trampoline!

In the video below, you can see the buffalo walk around and spot the trampoline. The animal slowly approaches it and starts examining its parts. It then puts its paws on the trampoline and tries to figure out what purpose it serves.

It then moves on to the other side and starts “attacking” it with its head. When this doesn’t seem to work either, it stops and looks around, as if wondering what it’s supposed to do next.
