There are plenty of unusual things that you might expect to see in a vet’s office such as animals you don’t normally come across. But you probably don’t expect to see a vet tech having a dance-off with a lamb.

Like Mary in the nursery rhyme, vet tech Erin has a little lamb that follows her around every day.

The pair at Longview Animal Care and Adoption Center have been close since little lamb Ursula was born.

On this particular day, it was business as usual at the Adoption Center. But then, the shelter director, Chris Kemper, spotted Ursula prancing happily behind another vet tech named Nina Allen. She was so cute, he decided to grab his camera.

Kemper captured a hilarious video of Nina and Ursula dancing together.

The two of them take turns jumping up in the air and kicking their feet, having a great time. As other shelter staff watched and laughed, Nina and Ursula jived down the hall.

“She’s like a puppy, but she gets excited and she starts jumping,” said Kemper.

The slow-motion video makes it super easy to see the pair’s amazing dance moves, jumping, skipping, and turning in time. Ursula looks like she’s having a blast. As for Nina, she looks like she’s having a pretty good time, too.

He uploaded the video onto the shelter’s Facebook page, thinking it would be a fun little experience for the people who already follow them.

They never expected anything more to come of it.

“Our thought was, ‘Let’s just post this,’” said Kemper. “‘It will make some people laugh, and it keeps us in the Facebook cycle until the next morning.’”

As it turned out, the video got shared to more than just a few people online. In fact, the next day when Kemper logged back onto the internet, it had been viewed almost three million times.

The video had gone viral, getting the attention of people around the world.

This included some major news outlets that soon began to contact the shelter. Meanwhile, their Facebook page was exploding in popularity.

The video now has more than six million views from people all over the world. As for their Facebook page – it has more than 17,000 likes with almost 18,000 followers. There’s no doubt that Ursula has gained fame. People everywhere have seen this tiny girl’s trendy dance moves.

The shelter staff is thrilled … but not for themselves.

Instead, they’re hoping the added attention will inspire people to visit the shelter and offer their animals a home.

We want people in driving distance — Shreveport, Tyler, Dallas, wherever — we want them to think, ‘Wow, I’m going to drive to that facility because they care about what they’re doing,’” said Kemper. “That’s what we hope the outcome is.”

As for Ursula, she was happy to recreate her dance routine with Nina and some larger news networks.

She doesn’t know that she’s gone viral … she’s just happy to be dancing with the people she loves.
