We always regard dogs as man’s best friend, and they are for many reasons.

They are always fun to be around, despite their crazy antics that will drive you laughing. They are also intuitive and sensitive beings that are tapped as therapy dogs to help people with disabilities, the elderly, and children with special needs.

However, there are times that they give us some headaches.

For example, those times they rip out the toilet paper in the bathroom or, worse, the couch! They can be messy and crazy at times, but we love them nonetheless.

But on rare occasions, dogs can be dangerous, especially the aggressive types.

The Pit Bull is one breed that has a reputation for being aggressive, although they are often a misunderstood breed. According to the American Pit Bull Foundation, it is a common misconception that Pit Bulls are inherently mean.

However, they tend to be aggressive depending on how humans treat them.

Specifically, how their owners or trainers treat them. They said that dogs’ temperament doesn’t only depend on their genes but their company as well. The existence of aggressive Pit Bulls means that they lived in an aggressive, harsh, and mean environment, especially with how their owners treat them.

So, when they attack a human or other animals or dogs, they may be wired to do so. At times, their attacks can be fatal, especially if they’re not stopped. This could happen to anyone, even to kids – just like this incident in Houston.

It would’ve gone from horrible to worse if not for this 19-year-old.

Grant Brown was in the right place at the right time to save Mason. He was right at the corner of the street at that moment. He knew he needed to do something when he heard the little boy scream.

He said in an interview that he wasn’t sure what he should do. But when he caught the dog’s attention, he ran back to his home, tripping and losing his shoe, but saving the little boy from further danger.

Mason ran back into their house to his mother’s horror.

His mother, Jillian Lindaman, recounted the moment when she stood in horror seeing her young boy with his hands on his head and blood coming down his shoulders. It turned out he had a cut on his head that required several staples and stitches. He had several bruises as well.

Thankfully, the boy was safe – thanks to Grant, who went to his rescue.

Grant Brown, himself, got injuries from the incident. The moment the dog caught on to him, he had a few bites on his finger as he tried to get the dog away from him. He can’t recall what he did specifically, but he remembered the dog being on top of him and thought he had to keep its mouth away from him.

We hope both Mason and Grant have recovered from that traumatic incident.

In the interview, Jillian hoped to thank Grant for his heroic act and wanted to give him a hug and her thanks. But everyone in the comments section said he deserved far more than that, for there are only a few strangers who would jump into danger like that to save others.
