Everyone knows that a cat’s primary voice is a meow. But there are so many other sounds or variations of their meow that make them so unique. There have been viral videos of cats speaking like their owners, responding to their owners, or just making an interesting sound no ones ever heard before.

Cats can also be taught to use those sounds for special talents. Yes, cats are typically antisocial homebodies, but they can be trained. This cat has been trained how to use his unique voice for singing, even against his will.

This woman’s cat clearly has a special talent- but he cannot be bothered to move or wake up to show off his singing skills for the camera. He stays snuggled into his blanket and doesn’t even lift his head when his owner talks to him.

Cats sleep a majority of their lives away anyway, only taking time to get up for essential things like food and water and occasionally some exercise or play time. The fact that he was being woken up for a singing performance was simply too much to ask of him, and you could tell by the expression on his face he didn’t love what was happening.

However lazy he may have been, he did participate. As the well known lyrics go, every time ee-eye ee-eye-oh came around, the cat let out a small meow. And when it came time for his part, ‘on that farm he had a cat/ ee-eye ee-eye-oh/ with a…’ the sleeping cat would once again let out a weak meow to go along with the song. It may not have seemed like much, but remember he had just been woken up from his nap for this…

His owner continued to sing, and though reluctant, this cat participated the whole time. He never missed a part, was fairly consistent throughout the short song with his meows, and still never once lifted his head. Imagine his performance when he isn’t in the middle of a cat nap!

Since it was posted, over 4 million cat lovers have watched the video. A few thousand have commented their compliments on the cats singing voice and level of comfort. Some viewers had sympathy for the cat, complaining that the owner was being rude interrupting the cat like that, and to take a hint and leave him alone. Either way it made for one cute video you can check out at at the end of the article!
