The minute cats get wind of something changing in their routine, they start acting out.

But this silly cat just seems to have lost the will to fight back.

Resistance is futile.

It looks like someone heard “let’s go” and then let the words “to the vet” sink in.

That’s quite a 180 on the attitude.

Aww, poor thing.

We have to admit we laughed a little, but we also hope people remember that it’s safest to transport pets in secured crates so they don’t get hurt.

For some reason, these dogs just assume they’re going to the vet.

Just look at them console each other!

Just wait until they find out they’re headed somewhere fun instead.

This little pup, on the other hand, knows that a car ride only means two things, and one is not so fun.

Just look at that little glare as he waits to hear about his final destination.

This cat just assumes that if she can’t see people, then they can’t see her either.

That or she’s doing some world-class pouting in the hopes that the vet just goes away.

The jig is up. The plan is foiled. The endgame has been discovered and now there’s a price to pay for the deceit.

Looks like someone has some explaining to do.

This adorable puppy isn’t quite sure what to think about this whole car ride thing.

If she’s not used to being in the car, she’s probably pretty confused right now about what the heck is going on.

It looks like Theo (and his giant paws) are a little curious about this whole vet thing, but there’s a definite look of betrayal there.

Since he managed to poop in the office we’re not sure if he’s going to associate that ride with good times or not.

Hopefully, the camera just caught him at a bad time and things went well for this little one.

It couldn’t possibly have been as scary as he expected.

Someone’s getting a very stabby 4 am wake-up call after this.

Cats know how to hold a grudge just long enough for their owners to fall asleep.

That yowling (you can hear the pitiful soundtrack here)! You’d think this dog was being taken in for torture, not for his own good.

The poor nervous fella clearly has some loving parents though, so we’re sure he got lots of love once it was over.

It breaks our heart to think that this dog might have thought he was being given away.

But we can’t help but chuckle about that stolen pizza.

Do you think he’ll learn his lesson? We’ve certainly never learned our lesson after eating a whole pizza.

This bobcat does NOT look pleased to be indoors much less at the vet.

We wouldn’t want to be on the wrong end of his revenge (though he’s certainly no pet).

Well, this kitty could be giving one of two looks: the “hey, human, I’m not feeling well, fix it!” look, or the “you better not be thinking of taking me to the vet” look.

Since cats normally hide when they’re sick, maybe she’s just trying to prove she doesn’t need a trip to the vet after all.

It looks like Smee is already wearing a cone of shame, so he knows what the vet is all about.

We can only hope the second time’s a charm, otherwise his owner is going to have to put up with some serious cattitude for the rest of the day.

The incredulity on this cat’s face is cracking us up.

No doubt Smee was mid-meow, but it sure does look like he’s shocked that his parents would do something as “cruel” as take him somewhere he doesn’t want to go.

Now that is not a cat we’d be eager to let out of its cage.

We hope the vet has some treats lined up to earn trust.

The cat looks like it has just as much COVID-19 fatigue as we do. Another mask? Another trip?

Can’t we just stay home, man?!

Those are some soul-crushing eyes!

We’d feel so guilty making this pup pout, but good pet owners do what’s best for their furry one’s health.

And we all know they use those eyes to manipulate us too.

This Corgi knows exactly what’s going on and he doesn’t like it one bit.

This betrayal will not go unanswered – and no one will get to feel anything less than guilty the whole way there (and probably back too).

While we totally understand why a person might only have one cat carrier, don’t you know that putting them together when they’re angry only makes it easier for them to plot their revenge?

They both seem pretty calm though – which, with a cat, worries us even more.

This cat is just staring off into the distance like “well, I don’t know what I did to deserve this, but I sure know what these humans did to deserve me clawing them later.”

Maybe they gave the cat something to relax – but that doesn’t necessarily stop the inner wheels from turning.

He will not forget this day.

And justice will come. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow. But someday, it will come.

We’re honestly not sure how bunnies feel about the vet, but “excited” is probably not the word.

Ronald’s botflies can’t be comfortable though, so we imagine he was already in a pretty bad mood.

Well this is an after photo, but you can tell this kitten has no idea where she went, why she was made to feel so sleepy, and who she is going to punish as a result.

Or maybe she feels great after getting some meds – only time will tell.

Not to be political or anything, but a bald eagle wrapped in a blanket, in need of veterinary care, and looking kind of mad about it seems like some kind of…metaphor.

And it probably seems that way no matter where you are on the political spectrum.

Ooh, someone is going to get a loooong guilt trip all the way into the office.

In fact, we’ll be surprised if this mood doesn’t last all day. Pugs know how to hold a grudge (at least for a little bit).

“Do you think I’m stupid, man?” That’s what it looks like this cat is trying to say with his eyes.

He’s clearly already received a bad haircut, how many more insults do you think he can handle!?

The cuter the dog, the more they can make you feel bad with just one look.

And that’s a heck of a look.

It’s really too bad we can’t explain to them that we do this because we love them.

The cat and the dog already look like good buddies, so that’s a bonus.

But this feline looks like it’s about to spill the beans to its doggie friend about where this whole “field trip” is headed.

This pampered pet is trying to see if he can pull the whole “nope, I’m too tired, I simply can’t get up” trick.

If only they knew it works 0% of the time.

He probably knows exactly how his owner’s voice changes when there’s a little bit of guilt in it.

This is not the face of a dog that looks like it just got asked to go for the fun kind of walk.

This dog pulled its ears back so far that it can’t even hear its owner tell him it’s time to go.

He looks tough to move too, so good luck with that!

It looks like it’s going to be a long day before they even get into the vet’s office.

Wouldn’t it have been better to just take the sleeping cat into the vet’s office and let her wake up on her own?

That seems like a lot less drama.

It minimizes the stress-out time.

Dental care is so important, but most pets hate to let anyone take care of their teeth (and it’s not like humans enjoy the dentist either!).

Of course, that means some of those chompers need to go as they get older.

This little girl looks like she’d rather keep the loosey instead of going to the vet though.

This sweet fur face was so stoked for a car ride until it heard the word “vet.”

Now we’re pretty sure there’s going to be an attitude change-up.

Aww, we feel so heartbroken for Skittles. But we also realize this was probably one of many meows that were simply yelped out of annoyance.

We just hope the poor kitty is not in pain.

We also hope that the poor kitty is not so mad that it intends to take it out on its humans later either.

This furry girl seems to think that if she hides down under the seats that no one will be able to make her go to the vet.

That face doesn’t say “fear” so much as “try and make me move, hooman.”

We understand why people want to snuggle their pets in the car when they’re nervous, but animals really are safer in crates, especially when they’re agitated.

We’re not sure this kitten is getting everything out of the snuggles that its owner intended.

And this cat looks like it’s shouting a list of all the ways it’s going to get revenge later.

This dog’s face says “how dare you?!,” but luckily the photo was taken years ago.

Now we just want to know if his reaction to the vet is still the same.

This cat is doing a pretty good job of passing for a spice, but we’re afraid it’s not good enough.

It should have curled up in the back of the cabinet instead.

Still, we like the dedication.

It’s so important to spay and neuter your pets. Not doing so creates so many unwanted animals with miserable, short lives.

But it’s a good thing we can’t explain to them what that involves.

Otherwise, we’re pretty sure they’d make a face just like this.

What a heart-melting face!

Maybe Mac is just fine, but we think it’s just as likely that Mac is looking at his owner like “wow dude, you’re going to need SO many new pairs of shoes after we get home later.”

Well, whether or not Henry regrets swallowing that glove, he’s sure annoyed about the aftermath.

Sometimes lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Dogs are so smart – and so sassy.

This pup isn’t fooled about where they’re going – and he wants his owner to know that it’s not appreciated one bit.

We don’t need to see their faces to know they’re afraid.

But sometimes it helps to have a buddy with you during the tough times.
