If you ask a hundred people to name the most iconic character ever, Mickey Mouse will probably be at the top of the list.
Walt Disney’s most famous invention has made children and adults alike smile all over the world, with his incredibly joyful personality, energy, and of course – that classic and cute Mickey Mouse look that has become synonymous with Disney around the planet.
And when it comes to Mickey, people can get obsessed.
You might think that it’s hard to find anything cuter than Mickey Mouse, but what about a puppy that looks just like the cartoon character?
There’s one adorable puppy out there that has managed to capture the hearts of the entire internet, exactly for this reason.
Move over Mickey, there’s a new heartthrob in town.
Meet Goma, a Maltese and Papillon mix who lives in Tokyo, Japan with his owners.
Right now, he’s seven years old and is already quite the local celebrity. He has followers all around the world, over 110,000 on Instagram alone.
Goma truly is the perfect example of the cutest puppy ever.
Just look at that irresistible face and that fluffy fur! Of course, the real eye-catchers here are her round ears, which are just pretty remarkable to witness. Goma’s owners make sure that she’s always well-dressed with numerous outfits whenever they go on adventures together.
Goma loves dressing up for festivities and going on trips outside!
Goma’s parents probably never thought that they’d go viral with their puppy, but ever since they posted the first photo on Instagram, she was liked and shared by thousands around the world.
Looking at her pictures, it’s easy to see why she’s so popular.
Now, over a hundred thousand people keep up to date on all her adventures, and there are no signs that she’s slowing down. Of course, it didn’t take long before people started to notice the resemblance with the Walt Disney character, so she quickly received the nickname “Mickey Mouse Dog” by people online.
You could say that Goma is now a pretty large canine influencer!
The mix of a Malteser and Papillon definitely makes for some adorable dogs. The Papillon breed – which actually means butterfly – is known for their absolutely sparkling and playful personality, and they definitely want to play around with people all day.
Their ears are quite striking, although certainly not as striking as with Goma.
Maltesers are very often mixed with other breeds and are seen as popular mix dogs. One thing is for sure: they’re all just incredibly cute, and Goma is no exception to that.
The name Goma actually means ‘sesame’ in Japanse, which is a reference to the splotches of tan on the pooch’s fur.
Sesame definitely seems like an appropriate and cute name, but it doesn’t really matter if you want to call this four-footer Goma, Sesame, or Mickey Mouse Dog – she’ll capture your hearts and overwhelm you with cuteness either way.

And even if they steal your slippers, you simply can’t stay mad at Goma for too long.

Christmas is one of her favorite times of the year because then she gets to dress up as Santa and hand out mini presents to everyone.
Goma also has a smaller friend who she loves to hang around with.
