In a move fit for a puppy, a baby miniature horse is showing everyone exactly how playful it can be.
In a recent video, a young miniature horse chases around a man in a pen, and many people are shocked by the cuteness.
From the beginning of the video, this pony is determined to keep up with the man.
As the man, named Sterling, runs around the pen, the pony follows him almost at his feet.
Since this miniature pony does have pretty short legs, Sterling makes sure to stop at certain points and let him catch up. That probably helps keep this game fun for everyone.
This pony is only three days old.
While you might think that an animal that young has no place running around and playing, instead of hanging out with mama, this is pretty common for young horses and ponies.
These species learn to walk and run quite quickly after birth.
What is surprising, however, is the speed of this little guy, and his stamina. For most of the video, it almost seems like nothing is going to get in the way of him and his playtime with this man.
He restlessly chases the man around and doesn’t seem to give stopping a thought.
Sterling periodically stops running to give the pony some pats.
Playing is much more fun when there are cuddles involved. And Sterling knows that petting the pony can help make this important exercise even more fun.
Every lap or so, he stops running to bend down and give the miniature pony some pats. It’s clear that Sterling is enjoying this just as much as the pony is.
All this playing is happening under the watchful eye of mama.
The woman filming also pans around to the pony’s mom, Grace.
While the baby and the man are having the time of their life, Grace’s head swivels around the pen, following their every move.
She keeps a watchful eye on her baby to make sure that he is safe and learning important skills.
But even baby miniature ponies know to listen to their mothers.
Towards the end of the video, the mama pony starts walking over to Sterling and the baby, almost giving the signal that playtime is over and she wants her baby back.
Although the baby seems to not want to listen to her at first, he eventually joins his mother and they walk away together.
People have fallen in love with this miniature pony.
If the comments on YouTube are any indication, this little pony has captured a lot of people’s hearts.
