Everyone knows that fun theme song from The Lion King, “The Circle Of Life.” That doesn’t just mean people either. It turns out that even donkeys know the words!

That’s what Travis Kinley found out recently when he decided to sing the intro part of the track with his friend Nathan the donkey.

He captured the whole moment on video and if you are a Lion King fan or an animal lover, it’s something that you definitely have to check out. The short clip is absolutely hilarious.

“Did the Lion King opening and Nathan joined in with me! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ I love this dude!” the video description reads.

Travis also used the hashtag #IWokeUpLikeThis.

There is no better way to start the day than by joining your animal friends out in the lush green forest fields to sing some Lion King.

“I had to get all the animals around me for this one,” said Travis.

Behind him in the scene was a beautiful brown horse and the friendly donkey named Nathan.

The animals never expected they were about to be serenaded, but that’s exactly what happened.

“Nants ingonyama bagithi baba,” Travis began singing.

Everyone knows the opening lyrics from the “The Circle of Life”, even if they can’t spell them. That part of the song is actually sung in Zulu, the most widely spoken home language of South Africa.

When translated to English, it means “here comes a lion, father'”, and maybe in some weird way, the donkey understood the translation because the words definitely got him pretty wound up.

Within no time at all, Nathan started excitedly hee-hawing in the background.

He couldn’t help but join in on the fun with Travis. On the other hand, the horse totally ignored them. He must have thought they were crazy.

The most surprising part of the performance though was how Nathan was able to match Travis’s tempo.

While understandably, the donkey couldn’t exactly pronounce the words correctly, he could stay right on pace with the melody.

It cracked Travis up. After a few rounds of going back and forth singing with each other, he couldn’t help but start smiling. We don’t blame him. Trying to do a duet with a donkey is a task that’s bound to send anyone into fits of laughter, even the most serious among us.

People on the Internet agree as well.

Since Travis posted the video on Facebook a few weeks ago, it has already been shared over 4 million times. Some people even put the video on repeat.

One of this man’s kids watched the video around 50 times! That’s pretty incredible stuff.

We wonder if Nathan the donkey is aware of how famous his singing has become.

At the very least, the directors in Hollywood should consider giving him a part in the next Lion King movie if they ever decide to do another sequel. He would certainly sell a lot of tickets. However, in the meantime, we’ll just have to settle for enjoying the short clip of his singing on Facebook.

Originally, Travis just posted the video to share with some of his friends. However, by the time he realized what was going on, millions of people had watched it. It’s always surprising what ends up going viral, but we are so glad it did.
