If you ask every pet owner, they’ll probably unanimously agree that every dog or cat has a little mischievous side in them, even if they listen properly and are well-trained. Sometimes, it just makes you wonder what kind of things your pets do when you’re not at home! That’s definitely something the owners of this adorable little Dachshund must think, who just loves to play around on the bed.
Dachsunds are often called “Sausage dogs”, and they’re most certainly a remarkable and absolutely adorable dog breed.
Did you know that Dachshunds were actually bred at first to hunt down underground animals like foxes and rabbits? They’ve got a pretty good taste of smell, but more importantly, they’re absolutely affectionate dogs who love having a bit of (mischievous) fun. There’s plenty of nicknames around for these cute pooches: Wiener Dogs, Sausage Dogs, or Doxies.
“Dachshunds are scent hound dogs bred to hunt badgers and other tunneling animals, rabbits, and foxes. Hunters even used packs of Dachshunds to trail wild boar. Today their versatility makes them excellent family companions, show dogs, and small-game hunters,” DogTime writes about the breed.
“If you’re looking a little pooch who will keep you on your toes and shower you with love, this may be the breed for you.”
In other words, they just love rolling and frolicking around – just like the adorable sausage dog in this video.
Meet Pepper, an absolutely affectionate dog with a huge personality. The bed is probably her favorite spot to hang out, but she’s not always allowed to play on it. When she is, however, she can barely hold back her excitement and will go completely wild. This dog is pretty simple: spending some time on her owner’s bed is just about the most fun thing there is.
Little Pepper constantly runs around in circles and it’s both adorable and hilarious to look at!
She clearly can’t get enough of her simple pleasure. Pacing back in forth on this mattress, it’s truly what she does best. Some might even say that Pepper turns into a little rocket on the bed!
It’s probably a good thing that Pepper’s owner took off the bedding, or things would probably turn into quite the mess.
The video is absolutely infectious, and Pepper just loves it, especially when her owners aren’t looking. Who knows what this Dachshund does when she’s all alone or what’s going through that energetic mind of hers.
After a little while, Pepper actually stops running around, but only for a second.
It gives us a small glimpse to see the dog clearly, and it’s undeniable that the sweet pooch is adorable. However, it doesn’t take long before she’s right back to her dashin’ and running ways.
A bit later, she’s actually accompanied by someone else!
Turns out that Pepper isn’t the only four-footer in the house who likes to play on the bed.
Luckily, it seems the much larger pooch isn’t a fan of running around, he’s perfectly content if he has his stuffed raccoon. Even though this dog takes up a lot of space – Pepper won’t be stopped at all. You definitely don’t want to get in her way when she’s running towards something.
