There’s just something irresistible about ice cream cones – especially after a hard day of stressful, intensive work. And when the sun is shining, ice cream is always a great relief. Everybody in this situation would love a cold and sweet treat, and that doesn’t only apply to us, humans.
The police dogs in the Fishers Police Department K9 unit regularly get treats and little surprises for their great detective work, but this particular four-footer was overjoyed and very excited when his human partner took him to an ice cream shop.
The moment the K9-dog realized he was getting ice cream as a treat, he raced towards the stand.
Luckily, Handel’s Ice Cream & Yogurt shop in Fishers, Indiana was more than happy to give this brave four-footer a well-deserved treat after a long and sunny day. The dog’s partner had difficulties keeping him on the leash, as the pup (understandably) approached the ice cream stand with sheer excitement.
When one of the crew members of the ice cream shop spotted the pup, they decided to prepare a small and cold vanilla treat, especially for him. And even though the counter was a bit high for the canine, he wouldn’t let that get in the way of him and his ice cream cone.
With a quick jump, the four-footer introduced himself to his delicious treat on the counter.
He put his paws right on the counter and it didn’t take long before the delicious ice cream cone was gone.
It looks like the dog surely was hungry, cause he slurped the ice cream in a matter of seconds. One thing is for sure: ice cream is absolutely irresistible and this police dog will agree completely. Yummy!
There were plenty of bystanders while this K9 pup was getting his treat and none of them could hold their smiles back, seeing how overjoyed this pup was to get something he really wanted.
Luckily, another police officer managed to capture a video of the whole thing and it’s just absolutely adorable. It was shared on the Fishers Police Department Facebook Page and the cool video has been seen across the entire local community, and it’s starting to warm the hearts of the entire internet as well.
We always remember to thank the brave men and women in uniforms for their service, but the K9-officers with four feet definitely deserve some much-needed attention and admiration as well. A simple gesture such as giving a delicious treat can definitely go a long way. Just look at how happy this pup is!
