Cats on glass is probably one of the best things in the world. If you’re a cat owner and you don’t at least own a glass table in your home, you’re missing out.

Getting to see the squished-fluff underside of a cat is an experience you can’t have without a glass object they can sit on. And while there’s no purpose for this other than your own entertainment, you’re going to want to install something transparent after reading this article.

A Twitter user shared hilarious pictures of a shop owned by his friend, who had exchanged part of the ceiling for glass.

The shop owner in question had cats, and, naturally, he couldn’t let his cats roam freely around his shop during the day.

He thought the cats might want to know what he was up to in his shop, and that they might feel less lonely if they could see him at work.

So, knowing that the cat clan liked to hang out in the attic above the ceiling, his natural solution was to install glass.

There are now two glass tiles in the shop owner’s ceiling, which his cats are drawn to in a typical cat-like manner.

When you pay a visit to his shop, you’ll probably be completely unsuspecting of the fact that you have a feline surveillance crew right above your head.

But if you’re a cat lover, you’ll appreciate being able to see the undersides of several cats, whether they’re asleep, staring intently at you, or meowing indignantly.

The Twitter user went on to give more of an insight into the lives of his friend’s surveillance cats.

He shared a post featuring a couple of pictures of the cats surrounded by shredded up tissues, writing:

“What happens when the cats aren’t fed in time.”

Any cat owner will know the struggle! Cats can be feisty things, especially when it comes to food. This particular cat crew clearly knows how to keep their owner in check when they’re not too busy watching over him at work.

The internet’s response to the photos of the cats on the glass was wild excitement.

Some people thought that these cats were the next level up from the ceiling cat – one of the first ever memes involving a ginger cat poking its head through a hole in the ceiling of a room.

Others were convinced that all cats love to watch us because they’re entertained by our “puny human” tasks.

It makes a lot of sense, considering much of the things humans do are pretty random if you see them with no context.

But the real question everyone wants to know is this: why are cats so obsessed with glass?

There’s no real answer to this on the internet, but logically, we know that cats like heights, hence why they can often be found on tables, glass or not.

If this cat clan hangs out in their owner’s attic anyway, it makes sense that they’d be drawn to the glass, where they’d be able to watch the comings and goings of the customers below. Cats are big people watchers, which any cat owner will know if they (hopefully) have windows in their home.
