Owning one animal can be quite a challenge, but owning a whole bunch of them can sometimes prove to be a recipe for disaster!
You have so many more responsibilities when you have multiple animals to look after, and the slightest mistake can cause absolute chaos to break out, as one farmer found when he forgot to latch one of his gates properly.
The animals, including one very excitable alpaca named Annie, all burst out of their enclosures, with Annie leading the way.
The farmer’s dog, named Maggie, was absentmindedly sniffing at the ground when Annie suddenly came charging through!
The farmer, filming the whole thing, can be heard yelling “Oh my God! Look out! No, no, no!” as the angry alpaca chases Maggie around.
He quickly intervenes as best he can, trying to get Maggie somewhere safe while a big black pig chases the alpaca away.
But his troubles aren’t over there!
The farmer jokes that instead of a prison break, he’s having to deal with a prison riot as animals of all kinds roam around the yard together.
We can see goats, pigs, a donkey, and more all exploring their new territory, with Annie the alpaca still gazing menacingly towards the farmer’s dog.
Luckily, the farmer is able to get most of the animals back into their paddocks, luring them all in with tasty crackers.
However, he still has Annie to contend with, and she’s clearly not going to go easy!
He says that she isn’t showing any interest in the crackers, leaving him with the task of getting her back through the gate calmly and peacefully, while also trying to keep her away from Maggie, who is clearly quite terrified by the whole ordeal and even hides behind a chair at one point.
The farmer asks everyone listening to wish him luck as he starts to try and get Annie back into the pasture.
He doesn’t really have much of a plan, but his hilarious commentary throughout the whole video make it a really entertaining thing to watch.
And eventually, a chance presents itself!
Annie starts walking over towards the gate and the farmer finally thinks he might be able to get her where she needs to be.
Unfortunately, things don’t quite go to plan as little Maggie gets too close, catching Annie’s attention!
A dramatic chase ensures, with the alpaca sprinting after the dog, who eventually leaps up onto some hay bales just in time.
What a good girl! But the farmer still needs to find a way to get Annie through the gate.
Fortunately, with Maggie out of the picture, the job becomes a lot easier.
He slowly and calmly guides Annie towards the gate, getting around behind her and herding her inside as he says, “You have to go back inside with your friends. They need you.”
Finally, after so much effort and drama, Annie walks through the gate and the farmer closes it behind her.
Poor little Maggie, meanwhile, is still sitting on the bales, too frightened to come down!
Luckily, the farmer is eventually able to coax her down and show her that the coast is finally clear.
It was quite an experience for everyone involved, but we’re glad to see it ended well. Check out the highly entertaining video for yourself down below.
