It seems like humans have ridden horses ever since time first began, and while some might question the ethics behind horse riding, most can agree that it’s in a horse’s nature to trot around a field with a human on their back. But every so often, just like with humans, there will be a horse that goes against the norm. A horse that doesn’t want to take a human for a ride. A horse that would do just about anything to avoid the ride…

Jingang the horse is the latest to rebel against the common nature of others of his kind.

Despite being perfectly fit and healthy, having fully working legs, and living in a happy, comfortable home with plenty of tasty food and drink, Jingang has decided that he doesn’t want to take his humans for a ride- and he has the silliest, most dramatic way of getting his point across.

While some horses who don’t want to ride might refuse to walk anywhere, shake the rider off their back or sit on the ground and not allow anyone to move them, Jingang has his own unique way of doing things. The hilarious horse actually waits until somebody is on his back, breaks into a promising trot, and then collapses onto the ground in a performance worthy of an oscar.

That’s right- much to the amusement of his owners, Jingang has been playing dead for a long time now, and his hilarious antics have been caught on camera quite a few times. As soon as his body hits the ground, Jingang lies still with his eyes closed- though the occasional huffing sounds coming out of his nose give away his game. After all, how many dead horses are still breathing?

Unfortunately, Jingang’s dramatic routine doesn’t take in much consideration for the rider on his back – as when Jingang goes down, he takes down whoever is on his back with him.

But we’re sure that in Jingang’s head, it serves them right for trying to make him take them for a ride.

We have to agree!

Not only is Jingang’s sudden collapse highly entertaining, but it’s also pretty clever as well. Some people suggested that the horse was actually trained to play dead on command, with a simple tug of the reins from the rider. Watch the hilarious video below to see what you think!
