Meet Luna: a sweet bull terrier who loves her dad more than anything else in the world!
Luna’s dad, Justin Grosjean, loves his pup just as much, and he wishes he could spend all his time with her. Unfortunately, though, he sometimes has to leave Luna so he can go to work. That way, he can buy her more treats!
Whenever Justin leaves the house, Luna comforts herself by cuddling with one of his shoes. She never chews it—she simply rests her head on it.
One weekend, Justin’s wife and his kids went out of town while Justin stayed home with Luna. Justin had to run out of his house for 30 minutes to go to Home Depot. He thinks Luna must have panicked, thinking all her humans had left her.
And so, she grabbed a huge pile of Justin’s shoes and brought them to her bed!
Justin shared the photo of Luna with the shoes on Reddit. On Reddit, Justin also explained how much he loved Luna:
“She’s my best friend! I love this dog more than I’ll ever be able to express. She almost died from IMHA [Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia in Dogs – ed.] and I spent a year and more money than I thought [possible] nursing her back to health. I don’t think I’ll ever bond with a dog quite like I have with her.”
The photo of Luna with the shoes quickly went viral. Everyone was touched by Luna’s devotion to her dad.
Many Redditors shared stories about their dog. One Redditor shared their feelings about their pup:
“As I write this with my best friend on my lap. I feel sorry for those who don’t know the deep love and devotion of dogs. Don’t know where I’d be right now without them.”
Another Redditor said that Luna was lucky to have such a great family:
“She is so sweet and lucky to have such a good family. Glad she is doing ok now. I know what you mean about the bonds we have with our pets.”
Justin started an Instagram page for Luna where he shares lots of photos of her day-to-day life.
He also shares lots of photos that show the bond between Luna and Justin’s infant daughter. It’s clear that Luna loves the little girl, and she’s a great protector!
