Cat creeps over to his neighbors house every night for sleepovers with his second family
His family has come to terms with the fact that they can’t stop him and that he pretty much has a second family.

Lots of us are warm weather people.

Including our pets.

Once the weather starts getting nice, all we want to do is be outside.

And our pets do too.

It’s the perfect weather for them to roam around the neighborhood.

And that’s exactly what Tigger did when it got nice out. He also decided to take the opportunity to meet his neighbors.

Very first visit.

Alex and John Sanders like to leave their door open when the weather is nice.

They were hanging out inside one day with their door open when Tiger decided to just waltz right on in.

Mind you, they’ve never ever seen this cat before in their lives.

“He just walked in like he owned the place,” John told The Dodo.

The cat looked well cared for and they found that he had a collar with tags and his name was Tigger.

The tags also told them that Tigger lived in the neighborhood just one street over.

The couple reached out to Tigger’s family to reunite them with their kitty.

But Tigger had such a nice time with the Sanders’ that he decided that he didn’t want their relationship to end.

“He came back the next day and every day since,” John said.

In fact, sometimes Tigger will actually visit twice a day.

Sometimes he even stays for a sleepover.

And when he comes over he makes sure to get his snuggle on. In fact, he snuggled up with John during his very first visit. Tigger has a pretty regular schedule when it comes to his visits at the Sanders household.

“Tig’s self-appointed schedule is as follows: It used to be just at night between 9-11 p.m., and stay the night. Alex would let him out when she would go get coffee,” Sanders said. “Now that we’re home during COVID, he visits between 12-2, 4-6, and still comes back overnight. There are days where we don’t see him, but that’s rare. We usually see him twice a day without fail.”

Tigger’s family has had to come to grips with the fact that they can’t stop Tigger from doing what he wants.

Or having a second family.

But the Sanders’ can’t be blamed for that. They even tried to train Tigger to go home to his family at night. But that didn’t work.

As we explained, Tigger does what he wants and when he wants. So, the Sanders’ just gave in and decided to let Tigger start sleeping over.

They make sure to always listen out for Tiggers meows when they have their doors closed.

And Tiggers’ parents don’t seem to mind that their cat sleeps around.

“His parents have said Tig really just does what he wants and he has chosen us,” Sanders said. “They have said they are just happy that he’s warm and safe and not wandering the streets.”

But the Sanders’ still don’t know why they’re so favored by their four-legged orange neighbor. But that doesn’t really matter. They’re thrilled about it just the same.

They’re happy to have a new member of their family. In fact, they love him so much that they even made him his own Instagram page.

So, far Tigger has about 3,485 followers who love him just as much as the Sanders’ do. Now Tigger has triple the love in his life. The love of his two families and his fan base.
