Along Came Polly
A woman who was casually taking a stroll in the park happened to come across a very small abandoned cat. “She came stumbling out of this little log and I said, ‘Oh my gosh I cannot leave this cat out here’ said the lady who took in the little kitty. The white kitty, named Polly, looked very fragile and in need of nourishment when she first found him all alone.
Bottle-feeding him seemed to be the answer in order to slowly administer nourishment without overwhelming the feline. And that’s when the kitty met Pax, a 115-lb Labrador who had already been living in the home for quite some time.
Their relationship really took off without a hitch. The kitty would very confidently come and hug her fur close to Pax, the lab, and look to earn his respect and comfort. She would enjoy scratching and gnawing at his tail as well as enjoy naps by curling into a little ball next to his belly. You would think Pax would care much, but he seems to not mind the attention one bit. “I think he enjoys it,” the woman said in reference to Pax’s response towards the kitty’s behavior.

In addition, she would make sure anywhere she went in the house that he would always be there. Pax would act like her trusted friend and guardian whenever the two would come together.
According to the owner, the kitty always has to be touching somebody when she sleeps. Pax, the suitable candidate, sometimes acts as if he doesn’t want anything to do with this little furry hairball. However, he never seems to mind whenever she’s around and has grown to allow the kitty to do as she pleases.
The cat has also filled the house with incredible energy that has been nothing but positive vibes throughout. Her constant interactivity always makes things in the household exciting and has given her owner a new life.
At times during the night, the kitty performs zoomies over her lab-counterpart which would have her hop over his body and then turn around to see his reaction. Pax definitely deserves an award for the most patient dog ever!
Both Pax and the kitty seem to enjoy the outdoors a lot as well. The kitty makes sure she sticks to Pax wherever she goes. They both like to sunbathe and run around in the yard to stretch their legs out for some exercise. They have grown fond of each other for some time now and have developed a beautiful companionship.
Stress-Free Company
The two have given their owner a huge sigh of relief when it comes to the stressfulness of life. “It’s been nice during all of this stressfulness because the two of them together really just gives you this stress relief to see the two of them lay there. We’ve had the two of them really cheer us up.” said the woman.
As this story goes to show, the best things in life sometimes come out of the most unexpected places. For having a kind heart and extending a helping hand, the lady is now living happily with her decision as she is seeing how great of addition the kitty is to her home. Having Pax as the big brother makes it feel like it was all meant to be from the very beginning.
