Panda is a sweet cat who absolutely loves her humans. She’s especially close with her mom, Liel Ainmar. They’ve been best buddies ever since Ainmar first adopted her.

In 2016, Ainmar became pregnant with her first child. Soon after Ainmar got pregnant, Panda started following her around the house, purring constantly.

Then, Panda started doing something very surprising: she began cuddling with Ainmar’s belly.

As Ainmar’s belly grew bigger, the cat kept cuddling with it. She spent all her time curled up on her owner’s belly—it was like she was protecting the little baby inside!

Soon, Ainmar’s belly got too big for Panda to lay on top of it. So, she quickly came up with a great solution: she laid next to Ainmar and rested her head on her belly!

When Ainmar’s son Sean was born nine months later, Panda was so excited to meet him!

When Ainmar first introduced the two, Panda sniffed him, a bit confused. But that confusion quickly passed, and she cuddled up with him like he was her own kitten. After that, she happily spent her days curling up with Sean and Ainmar in Ainmar’s bed.

Ainmar also has another cat: a big, fluffy black kitty. He loves Sean just as much as Panda, and he also enjoys cuddling with his baby brother. Sean has some great feline guardians!

Now, Sean is a toddler, but he and the cats still get along just as well as they did when he was a baby. Ainmar also recently became pregnant with her second child. Soon, Ainmar’s cats will have another little baby to look after!

While Panda and Sean got along pretty much instantly, it can sometimes be trickier to introduce a cat to a new baby.

According to Spruce Pets, it’s a good idea for cat owners to prepare their cat while they’re still pregnant. Moms-to-be can prepare their cats by playing the sound of an infant crying for them. This will help them get used to the new sound.

It’s also a good idea to wear baby powder or lotion a few weeks before the baby is born. This will help the cat get used to the new scent.

When the baby is born, be sure to let the cat smell something of the baby’s before the big introduction. This way, they’ll know the baby’s scent. When the cat meets the baby, praise the cat if they behave calmly and confidently. This will help the cat understand what they should and shouldn’t do around the new little one.

Most of the time, the cat and baby will get along swimmingly. This can clearly be seen in the story about Panda and Sean!
