Cats are highly intelligent creatures. They may be some of the smartest animals around.

They can tell us when they’re hungry and manipulate us to get what they want.

And we let them because they’re adorable and sweet and we love them so much.

Though their brains are small, weighing only about 0.9 percent of their body mass compared to a human’s 2 percent and a dog’s 1.2 percent, it doesn’t speak to their intelligence.

Unlike dogs, cat brains are more similar to humans in terms of surface folding and structure.

It’s about 90 percent similar to humans. Their cerebral cortex is much more complex than a dog’s. It’s the part of the brain that processes information.

And that part of the cat’s brain has twice as many neurons as a dog’s cerebral cortex, according to Psychology Today.

In fact, cats have 300 million neurons compared to a dog’s 160 million.

They also have more nerve cells in the visual areas of their brain, which is a part of a cerebral cortex. This is more than humans and most other animals.

Cats also have better memories than dogs and can easily learn by doing rather than seeing.

“If cats are so smart, why don’t we use them as police cats, military cats and seeing-eye cats?” Dr. Berit Brogaard asks. “Maybe because they are too smart to be enslaved by humans. As Huffington Post puts it, ‘dogs come when they’re called; cats take a message and get back to you.'”

Cats are also more impulsive and have far less patience than dogs. They don’t tolerate frustrating situations.

Basically, cats run sh*t in their household.

But that’s only if you let them. One cat owner wasn’t having it and he caught his conniving cat on video. He was rightfully suspicious when his cat starts lovingly licking and gnawing at his ear.

It seems like a sweet gesture but it’s anything but. He nuzzles his little head up alongside his dad and is being super affectionate.

But it’s not his dad’s love that he wants. It’s his giant piece of chicken.

Eventually, we see this cat’s true colors. Once he thinks he’s tricked his dad into handing him over his affection, he slowly goes for the chicken and gently paws at it. He’s esting how far he can get.

His dad quickly reprimands him and the cat retreats. But the cat isn’t about to give up.

He continues with his nuzzles and his little kitty kisses.

Then again goes for the chicken, but this little guy isn’t fooling anyone and his dad simply isn’t buying into his cute little act. You can see this sneaky little cat in the video below.
