Norman and Noah are just two of Emma Patricia’s rescue cats. She has 4, in total – plus a dog.
But Norman and Noah have decided that they’re brothers and besties.
And when Norman came along, there was no drama about sharing a home.
“They love to be close to one another,” Patricia told The Dodo. “Generally, where you find one, the other is close by.”
She also told Twitter followers that they were bros at first sight.
“We are honestly lucky!!! The first day we brought Norman (black and white) home, Noah was like yep yep yep, that’s my dude.”

Noah was rescued by Patricia’s sister.
“My little sister actually found Noah when she was on a canoe trip. He was down on the riverbed and I came and got him and he never left,” Patricia said.
It turns out these two best bros are also what we like to call “thunder buddies.”
And their mom caught the cutest moment of them together back in July when a storm rolled through town.
As she was having breakfast and enjoying a book, she saw Noah and Norman wrestling on the floor like the brothers they are. But a moment later, when the storm started in earnest, they had a new activity.
Playful only a minute before, they were now side-by-side at the window sill watching the rain together.
“The boys love to sit and watch the rain in the window,” Patricia said.
But something must have startled Noah – probably some thunder.
And while most cats would bolt out of the room and run for cover, Norman made sure Noah wasn’t afraid.
“I didn’t think anything of it but then I looked over a few minutes later, and Norman had his arm around Noah and they were just sitting there like that watching the storm,” she said.
Luckily, she was able to get some heartwarming photos of their brotherly love. But one, in particular, was extra sweet.

She had no idea how sweet others would find it, however.
So when she posted it to Twitter before heading off to work, she never expected to come home and find that it had gone viral.
“I’m so glad everyone thinks Norman and Noah are just as cute as I do!!! They are both rescues and encourage you to adopt not shop!!! They also think you should wear your mask, support BLM and the LGBT+ community and buy from small businesses,” she replied to those fawning over the photo.
She even reported that they stayed like that for several minutes.

It’s not the first time the two have been so sweet either, but the act of kindness still surprised her.
“They will hug each other like that to groom one another,” Patricia said. “But to just sit like little thunder buddies that way — never!”
