Funny bulldogs ‘play dead’ after wrecking the whole house
We have all occasionally gone to great lengths in order to hide a guilty action. But no matter how we hide it, our faces tell everything.

No matter how much our pets try to hide their guilty actions, they still often end up getting caught. Sometimes they try to hide their guilt, like these bulldogs. These mischievous dogs don’t want to acknowledge their guilt and try to cover it up in a very funny way.

Two bulldogs were left alone in a separate room.

Dogs could be easily bored just sitting and lying around at home. Two bulldogs, Sophia and Oliver, decided to spend their free time redecorating the living room. However, their idea of redecorating is not what we think it is. For them, it means making a huge mess until there’s almost nothing to mess around.

Their owner was probably out at that time.

Sophia and Olivia were free to do whatever they want, and it looks like their owners were away during that time. They have plenty of energy to spare, and they rummaged through everything that was in sight. Their redecorating job was more like a demolition, considering how much of a mess they did in just a short time.

They didn’t leave anything untouched.

Everything was a total wreck. Baskets were strewn every which way with many of them having holes where they chewed through, and even the sofa and chairs had fabric ripped from them. No matter how you look at it, everything was undoubtedly out of place. Imagine going home to this kind of terrible mess. Well, dog owners are probably used to it by now.

These dogs have a plan to keep themselves safe from what they did.

Any good criminal has a Plan B in case things go south. For Oliver and Sophia, they had seen a few opossums in their yard and decided to model their plan after them.

Their mom went inside the room to check on Sophia and Oliver.

Sophia and Olivia’s mom was caught by surprise seeing the whole living room in shambles. The guilty culprits immediately kicked their plan into place. Their plan? To play dead until the danger had passed! Two big bulldogs were caught on film “playing possum.”

You can see that they need some serious practice.

As far as acting goes, the dogs need some serious work. They did their very best but they can’t help but look around when they think their owner is gone! In all honesty, it looks like a bunch of toddlers trying not to get in trouble with mom.

Perhaps they picked this up from a bunch of opossums.

It is known that when an opossum senses a threat, they will “play possum” or in other terms is to “play dead.”

When threatened or harmed, they will “play possum“, mimicking the appearance and smell of a sick or dead animal. This physiological response is involuntary (like fainting), rather than a conscious act. [Wikipedia]

Since the dogs were trying their hardest not to move, their mom and dad tried nudging them at their feet, hoping to get a response from the “dead dogs.” The dogs stayed in position, trying to hold back as much as they could. However, they are just too obvious. Since these bulldogs are stubbornly keeping up with their act, mom had an idea.

Calling out “who wants a snack” was all it took to bring them back to life.

You can guess what happens next! The two dogs come running at the possibility of a snack. It makes you wonder if they did this whole scheme in the first place in order to get some food! It is cute (especially since it’s not our couch) nonetheless.

You may have thought that humans are the only ones who knows how to desperately hide their guilt. It seems like these dogs are a step closer to us.
