We love our dogs, especially their genuine reaction to things.

They are like kids with that infinite sense of wonder where every time they see their favorite things, they light up as if it’s the best day ever.

But what if your dog can’t see? How can he chase after tennis balls? How can he rush to the feeding bowl when it’s eating time? How can he run after the mailman for some treats? How can he play in his favorite park?

One such dog is Kida.

Kida is a blind Pyrenees dog. But according to her loving owner Allison Miller, this never hindered her from enjoying her life.

She describes her dog to the Bored Panda as “very active”, “barks at everything”, “plays a lot”, and “runs around”. She might be physically blind but you’ll never notice that in the things she enjoys.

She even made friends with other dogs. Four specifically, even if she can’t really play inside the dog park.

Miller got Kida when she was just 5 months old.

Her previous owner bought Kida so she can guard the chickens. She ended up chasing them, however, and even tried to eat the animals she intended to guard.

According to Miller, people often expect these dogs to already know what to do. This misconception often ends up in abandonment and rehoming.

But that’s not the only thing that’s challenging about Kida.

The Pyrenees dog, unfortunately, has Uveodermatologic Syndrome. Because of this, both of her eyes had to be removed.

One would expect that Kida’s spirits would go down after the operation. After all, she lost one of her senses. But that was not the case. Miller shared that she was in intense pain prior to the operation, then she felt so much better after the surgery.

Being blind never stopped Kida from loving things.

Kida’s dog best friends were confused at first when they finally realized that she couldn’t see them. But they all quickly adapted to her way of life. Miller even provided collars with bells to Kida’s friends so she could hear them when they come to play.

It’s through these other senses that Kida experienced a new life.

In one of Miller’s videos on TikTok, Kida stole the hearts of people from all over the world. The video has since been viewed and replayed over 7 million times.

The video showed Kida riding in the back seat of Miller’s car. Just like any other dog, Kida enjoys sticking her head out of the window.

She thought it was an ordinary car ride until Miller took a very specific turn.

This was not just any other car ride. Kida quickly realized, even though she’s blind, that Miller is taking her to her favorite place. Her body perks up and her tail wags enthusiastically.

She may not see where they’re going but she could definitely smell it, feel it, and hear it.

Viewers swooned over the adorable dog who never let her disability slow her down. She might have lost her ability to see but never her ability to love.

Being blind was not the end of the world to her. It was only the start, and it’s just going to keep getting better.

Watch how this dog stole the hearts of millions with her car ride reaction.
