This earth is home to some wild and mysterious creatures.
And we don’t even know that most of them exist.
According to Unilad, more than 80 percent of the world’s oceans are unexplored. So who knows what’s lurking beneath their blue waves. There are probably things down there that we can’t even imagine.
One of these mysterious creatures washed up on shore recently in Australia and boggled the minds of some locals.
A strange alien-looking sea creature washed up on shore at a beach in Broome, which is on the northern coast of Western Australia.
According to The Silver Post, a man named Travis Power said the creature was spotted by his mother and girlfriend.
He posted the picture of the creature on Reddit.
“This was found in Broome, Western Australia. I have googled many things, but searching for ‘black and White Sea creature’ keeps getting me color ins for children, while hilarious, is also frustrating,” the post read.
The sea creature has a bulbous and jelly-like center that appears to be transparent.
It also has dozens of chubby tentacles that are black and white and spotted.
”At first I thought that this creature may be dead or poisonous because it wasn’t moving and had a specific color,” he said, according to The Silver Post.
And that has been the reaction of pretty much everyone who has seen this photo.
Those who commented on the Reddit post suggested that it might be a species of sea anemone that was flipped upside down.
Some said that it could have been bleached by the sun giving it a white color.
Some guessed it was a starburst anemone, a crimson anemone, or a condy anemone. But no one was really sure.
“It looks like an anemone but might be wise to contact Aqwa or the state museum tomorrow, give them like a short URL over the phone. I’m interested in what this turns out to be,” wrote one Reddit user.
The Silver Post claims that a Marine biologist has deemed it to be an Actinia but aren’t sure what species it is. Actinia is a genus of sea anemones in the family of Actiniidae.
One thing the internet did agree upon was that whatever it was, it should be left alone and not touched.
Anemone have stinging tentacles that can be dangerous.
