Forget about your worries and your strife. The Jungle Book may have been on to something. Now who knew that bears could actually snuggle up like a domesticated dog? After seeing this video, you’ll want one. I know I do.

According to the Orphaned Wildlife Center, this is Jimbo. He has a permanent injury in his hind leg. That leg gets stiff when it’s cold out. He is also bred in captivity at the park. He was never in the wild which means he does not possess the skills to make it out there. But that’s alright, isn’t it? He’s just a big, fluffy friend here!

Now we’re guessing the man’s name is Jim as stated on the title of the video.

He’s a big guy too by the looks of him. But Jimbo dwarfs him with his massive build. Nothing to worry about though. Jimbo is just like a big, sweet dog. Except bigger. Way bigger.

Jimbo is perfectly fine cuddling with his human friend, sniffing his hand, enjoying the company, until Jim the man decided he wanted to lay back a bit and relax. And that he does. He nestles himself snugly right under the big bear’s chin looking to maybe catch a little shut eye.

What does the huge bear do? Well he rests his head on the man’s entire side. From shoulder to hip with a massive paw on for good measure. That has got to be the warmest, most adorable cuddle yet. What a pair!

Jimbo is a Kodiak bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi).

They are one of the largest bears, even matching Polar and Brown bears at times. A male can stand over ten feet tall on his hind legs and about five feet on all four legs. They can weigh up to nearly a ton. Even heavier when in captivity.

By the looks of it, Jimbo is a big one. All that fat and fluff for this man to cuddle with. Look at this bear’s head. It looks to be about the size of Jim’s body! All good though. Rest away, guys. Don’t mind us.

Wait a minute, Jimbo. Why are you chewing on Jim’s sweater?

And are you trying to remove it? He must have noticed his human friend reacting because this big Kodiak moves to the man’s hand to sniff and nibble on it. Let’s say it. Jim is a brave man. Even if Jimbo is bred in captivity. That’s a huge animal.

Jimbo tries to nibble on the man’s head too.

Yikes! Playtime shouldn’t be this dangerous. Well Jim just shrugs off the bear and laughs it off. Told you he’s brave. Maybe a tad bit crazy. Jimbo is well behaved though. He backs off but leaves his big paw on Jim as if assuring him that, hey, just playing with you.

According to the website, and this is sad news, Jimbo passed away in 2018. He was around 20 years old and weighed in at 1,400 pounds on a diet of red meat. They described him as “extremely friendly with people and very good natured”. Yes, he was. Rest well in bear heaven big Jimbo!
