When Emily Sebryk saw a mini Australian Shepherd, she knew the puppy belonged to her family.

She decided to adopt him and she named him Robin, which was short for Robin Hood.

When she returned home with Robin, she introduced him to Teddy, the Andalusian horse, along with her other pets.

Emily placed little Robin on Teddy’s back, without knowing that this was the start of a beautiful friendship.

Ever since that day, Emily noticed how Robin’s eyes would widen every time they were with Teddy. He would run to where Teddy was and would wag his tail non-stop.

For over three years, Robin grew up playing and riding on Teddy’s back. According to Emily, they were inseparable.

The unlikely best friends weirded some people out, but Emily explained that her dog, Robin, looks up to Teddy.

For Robin, Teddy is his big brother, his mentor, and his best friend.

They had no problems with their size difference. They can hang out and play all the time. In fact, riding on Teddy’s back is Robin’s favorite pastime.

How do they play and hang out? This is a common question that Emily receives from the people who see the adorable duo.

In her interview with The Dodo, Emily explained that the thing Robin loved to do was to climb on Teddy’s back.

Almost every day, Robin would beg Emily and would jump with happiness when he sees Teddy. He has this huge jumpy flip that he does whenever Emily brings him to see his best buddy.

Emily would then lift one of her knees up, and that’s Robin’s cue to jump on Teddy’s back.

She didn’t know that little Robin also has an adventurous side to him. Some days, Robin and Teddy feel a little competitive and would race each other.

“He just takes off because he knows Teddy’s coming. He throws his head back, puts his ears down, thinks he’s more aerodynamic, and runs even faster. And, of course, we catch up to him,” Emily shared in her interview.

Of course, pets have a mischievous side to them too.

One day, Emily saw that her stash of carrots started to disappear, so she hid a camera and went away for a while.

She confirmed her suspicions!

Her horse and dog were working as a team to get those fresh, juicy carrots. She caught them red-handed.

“It’s such a joy to watch them,” she said.

Who wouldn’t fall in love with this trio? They spend time together playing and having fun.

Emily even described their relationship as pure and honest, and we agree.

At times, she would record Robin’s funny reaction as she asks him to go down from Teddy. The Australian Shepherd would pretend not to hear her and would even cross his paws. He simply won’t budge.

Teddy happily accommodates Robin, and they would often go on a stroll.

Don’t worry about Robin falling down because he had learned to keep his balance while being a passenger to Teddy.

We can say that this good doggo is a pro.
