Meet Clarabelle: an adorable cat who isn’t afraid to get loud.
This beautiful white cat lives with her owner Cristina Kitner. Kitner found Clarabelle in a dumpster when she was just a kitten. Kitner took Clarabelle home and cleaned her up, and she and the kitten quickly bonded.
Kitner started noticing that the kitten never responded when she called for her. Kitner took Clarabelle to the vet and learned she was 100% deaf.
Even though Clarabelle is deaf, she’s still a very vocal cat. Whenever she wants attention, she’ll start meowing. She also meows whenever Kitner gets home. Since Clarabelle can’t hear herself, her meow is very loud, which Kitner finds hilarious!
Clarabelle has now lived with Kitner for over three years. The cat loves her home and her mom.
Kitner started an Instagram page where she shares adorable photos and videos of Clarabelle. She also shares photos of her dog Douglas on this page. Douglas was also rescued from a dumpster, and he and Clarabelle have become best friends.
“I sure do love my little brother, Douglas! He was found in a dumpster too!” Kitner wrote on Instagram.
Douglas and Clarabelle spend most of their time together. Douglas doesn’t mind Clarabelle’s loud meow, and Clarabelle always loves cuddling with her dog brother.
“Douglas didn’t want to smash his sister so he made himself uncomfortable. A true sacrifice,” Kitner wrote on an Instagram photo.
Kitner shared an adorable compilation video of Clarabelle meowing for attention. It’s amazing how vocal this cat is!
The video shows Clarabelle meowing in a wide variety of situations. She meows when she’s hungry, when she wants to go outside, and when she simply wants to say hello to Kitner.
Kitner’s video went viral, receiving over two million views. Everyone loves seeing how much Clarabelle adores her mom. Many people tried to figure out what Clarabelle was trying to say to her mom.
One commenter took the title of the video a bit too literally!
Kitner also recently adopted another cat named Carson, and Clarabelle has become like a surrogate mom to him. She and Carson love napping together, and they also always enjoying practicing their meows together.
