Cats and dogs have a relationship that can be hard to describe. Both can be sweet, loving pets that can brighten your day up, or they can be a nuisance to those who are impatient by nature. Put the two together and it’s bound to get interesting.
This following list demonstrates just how crazy and funny these canine pals can be with each other when sharing space. Once you see what shenanigans these furry friends get into, you might think twice about leaving them alone in a room together.
1) Attack Of The Kitty-Snatchers
This dog seems to have gotten himself stuck in a pickle. Being cornered by a litter of feverishly cute kittens can be a little tense, but it looks like taking the high ground was the savvy choice. Let’s just hope the doggo finds an escape route quick!
2) Murder She Wrote
It looks like this cat is out for revenge! She playfully looks to strangle her victims with all her furry cuteness. Don’t let the edgy leopard coat fool you as you may want to sleep with one eye open when this cat is about and about.
3) What It Feels Like To Get Kicked Out Of Bed
I think the wailing look of this dog’s face says it all. The poor pooch has clearly been hijacked out of his own bed and he’s not too happy about it. Meanwhile, the kitty looks to be having a peaceful afternoon with no worries at all. Given that this a sign of a working marriage, it seems like their relationship is going well!

4) No Complaints Here
Another doggo bites the dust by having a cat take his place. No stress on this little guys faces since it doesn’t seem to bother him. He’s just happy to have a little feline friend who will share some company with him on cold lonely nights. And just look how adorably bundled up and comfy this kitty is! These two are going to get along just fine.
5) Vampire Kitty
They say that when a full moon rises some kittens become bloodthirsty vampires. Out for blood, they pounce on their dog counterparts to feed themselves and inflict a great deal of annoying juju. This dog’s face shows his utter discomfort as his captor shows just how pesky she can get with her canines.
6) Hotel For Cats
There seems to be a high amount of cats taking over other dogs’ bed. Is it cause they’re jerks and need more space? Is it because it’s common courtesy to treat guests well in your home? Whatever the case may be, this doggy seems to be perplexed as to where he’ll be sleeping that night.
7) The Cat Nibbler
Odd as it may seem, some cats are looking to give some affection. It looks like this dog is the recipient of what looks to be an ongoing head and back massage. Granted the cat is using her mouth for the dog’s head, but we’re not questioning her tactics as effective. After all, the pooch looks to be lying down on all fours with no resistance whatsoever.
8) You Shall Not Pass
The Great Wall of China might pale in comparison to the Warden of the Staircase, or in other words, the kitty currently preventing his dog playmate from reach the top of the stairs. It’s bad enough that cat is lethargically laying on its side to prevent entry, but looks to have no reason for doing it all! She doesn’t seem to be protecting anything special or claiming any desirable territory. One can only feel for the confused doggy and left wondering if that jerk of a cat will ever let the guard down.
9) Touchdown San Francisco Feliners!
Sometimes you gotta shake it off and shout to the heavens to let out some steam. This kitty just about had it with everything and decided it was time to stretch on its hind legs. Not only is this a great metaphor for the year of 2020, but it also describes a cat-dogs crazy relationship in a nutshell.
10) Take It Where You Find It
How much of a jerk are you when you steal your dogs favorite bone? Pretty mean if you were a dog and knew how much a bone meant. Strangely enough, it didn’t seem to bother this kindred dog who just whined and whimpered as the jerk cat sat and played with it. Finders keepers, losers weepers is exactly what this cat is saying right now and there’s clearly no rebuttal.
11) Cat-Jutsu
Cats will always impress you in some way or another. Leave it to their acrobatics skills and outrageous agility to perform some of the craziest leaps and bounds you’ll ever encounter. Nobody is safe and that includes your dogs. And they wonder why dogs are so afraid of cats.
12) The Cat Sitter
Need someone to watch your dog 24 hours a day for 7 days a week? Tired of having to always chase your dog whenever they misbehave? Not to worry! Call 1-800-CAT-SITTR today and you can have your very own cat do all the work for you. Just be advised, the cat may feel inclined to sit on your dogs head to show them who’s boss.
13) Pesty Pet-A-Thon
Here we spot an A-class jerk cat purposefully waking up his doggo buddy to make her growl. Talk about boredom! This cat clearly has nothing better to do other than bother the doggo’s rest in order to get a reaction. Hopefully, she changes her ways and realizes that poking at the hive for too long can get you stung.
14) How to properly baptize your dog
Step one, make sure to find a cat priest; any will do as long as they have experience with bowls and water. Step two, make sure your dog has confessed to any cardinal sins that include those punishable by timeouts as he has to be expunged of any sins. Lastly, step 3 is trusting your cat priest not to drown your dog in the bowl of water as this may happen if the cat has not been properly fed or given enough attention. Good luck!
15) Cat vs Dog
It looks like the welterweight championship is over and a new king has been crowned. Fighting out of Anubis’ crypt in Egypt, Catmotep subverted his opponent, Dio the Doggo, by a takedown. His paws were too much for Dio as he carefully chocked him until he tapped out. It seems the pen was mightier than the sword this time around.
16) Not You Again
Well, this is awkward. Master didn’t say anything about you coming back from the groomers. I’m just going to stare off and pretend you’re not here right now. Yea that’s it, just ignore the fact that you’re here and just move on.
17) Why Won’t You Look At Me?
All things considered, dogs and cats have sizeable differences. That doesn’t mean you can just ignore them, right? This dog seems to think so as he refused to even acknowledge the big orange cat facing his direction. We can’t tell if he’s completely oblivious or just giving the cat all space it needs.
18) A Piece Of The Action
Normally, cats and dogs have their own bowls and eating stations that are spaced out. This occasion looks more like a hostage situation than a pleasant eating experience. We have yet to figure out the ransom demand, but I’m sure it won’t justify how much of a nuisance this cat is.
19) 3rd Degree Feliney
This little fella finally found his chance to do the wrong thing. While doggy is dreaming of infinite dog treats and endless dog walks, his bone is being swindled from his very feet by a crafty perpetrator. He’s lucky there’s not cat jail to convict him with a third-degree feliney.
20) The Catnip Or Else
This David versus Goliath scenario makes you almost want to root for Goliath, even if David is an incredibly cute kitten. The dog looks like he’s wincing in pain from the dominance this little critter is inflicting on him. Clearly, all is in jest, and one can only wonder how this little kitty managed to overcome such a hefty hound in the first place.
21) Nothing To See Here Folks
This kitty’s devious eyes say it all. She seems to have many destructive plans up her fur coat. Her captive pooch seems to distrust her completely and is clearly afraid of her company. Just look at how worried the dog looks! Hopefully, he earns his freedom before things get even sourer.
22) Just Remember: Play Nice
It’s really not so hard to get along if you can learn how to get over your differences. For this cat, that doesn’t seem to be an option. She seems to be playing docile for a second, then turns around and bites your cheek the next. You can’t teach an old dog new tricks, so it may just be time to take his show on the road away from this annoying cat.
23) No Stairway For Old Dogs
It’s true: cats command a lot of respect. But when they start taking their territorial dominance to a new level, they can be irritating. Take this cat blocking this dog from descending the staircase. Clearly imposing its will on the dog, the cat does not seem to care one bit and remains still. Just another reason why cats need to find better ways to treat their doggy counterparts.
24) Can You Move Purty Please?
Says the dog silently under his look of utter confusion. He’s clearly wanting to go back and relish in the comfortable smells of the house, however, he’s met by your textbook definition of a cat behaving like a jerk. The doggie’s face is that of one looking for help, but it looks like this cat is determined to keep her paws down and stand her ground.
25) Mi Kennel Es Tu Kennel
Unless you’re this sad pup who just got ousted out of his own kennel. The funny part is that the kitty looks like he’s adjusted quickly! Let’s just hope the two stay friendly during this temporary transition.
26) Santa Claws Is Coming To Town
Cat: Hey pal, want to know what Santa got you this Christmas? Dog: Woof! What’s that?! Cat: Come closer and I’ll whisper it in your ear. What the doggie got was a bit more than what he bargained for.
27) Move Like A Butterfly, Sting Like A Kitty
This unsuspecting senior dog is about to get the surprise of his day. A black cat was lurking behind his calm body when suddently she decided to pounce on the peaceful doggy. It was all fun and games and for what it’s worth, at least the old dog can practice being more alert.
28) Payback Has Its Pleasures
They say never steal from your neighbors, but this dog decided his cat’s food was on the menu that night. Consequently, the cat did not take a liking towards this behavior and resorted to paying back the favor by urinating all over this dog’s bowl. We’ll, that will certainly teach the doggo to not steal from this cat again!
29) Doggy-Cat Staredown
At first glance, you might think these two don’t get along. However, it turns out this is the first time they’ve met each other, meaning they can only improve from here! This is the equivalent of a human getting a new roommate who likes to play loud music, but then you realize it’s music you can appreciate as well. Hopefully time will tell for these two.
30) Cat-Red Handed!
There’s nothing to see here! Thought this cat as soon as she was caught smothering the dog with a blanket. Her unassuming expression shows her high intellect, but the evidence is fully there. The dog is definitely not being hurt, but the idea itself really makes you wonder what these cats would do if they were twice our size…
31) Don’t Step Into My Office
It looks like there is a pattern for cats taking up space on staircases. The reasons might all differ, but no matter their intent behind their actions, they seem to not care if a dog has to get through. It might simply be there way of establishing their dominance and not caring what anyone or anything else has to say. We feel for ya little buddy!
32) Cat-1 Dalmation-0
This one is different in the sense that all the previous cats in stairwelle were lying down without a care in the world. On the other hand, this jerk of a cat is in a ready position on its hind legs almost waiting to hiss her emotions onto the defenseless Dalmation. If only the cat knew that his 100 pals were on their way to deal with the situation.
33) Go To Your Corner!
If you’re ever wondering how to discipline your dog, why not let a cat do it for you instead? With a simple smack of the paw you can train your dog to go to his “timeout” corner and reflect on his poor decision making. The effects could be a little traumatic at first, but as long as the dog is willing to work, the long term effects are wonderous. Just make sure the cat doesn’t take it too far and is willing to play nice.
34) Me, Myself, And I
This cat sits atop the dog’s food container to show his owner who comes first in the pecking order of pets in the house. Is it demanding and needy behavior? Yes, but can you blame the kitty for being hungry and trying to get fed first? It’s hard to deny her when she’s looking this innocent.
35) No Horseplay Allowed
Sometimes dogs look to engage with their feline friends and try to make a good impression. For this dog, it backfired on him miserably. This cat is one big sourpuss as she clearly has no time to play nice. It’s going to be a lonely road for this kitty if she doesn’t soften up to those around her.
36) Password Please?
It looks like this is heading to another doorway rejection. If one got rejected as many times as a dog did at a doorstep, they would probably feel the need to stop the urge to date again. Maybe this is just an example of how animal lives are not so different from humans. It’s all about communication and clearly these two haven’t found that bridge to cross.
37) Make Sure To Eat Your Veggies
In this case, your dog’s food. Looks like this cat is enjoying some of her doggy pals food from her bowl and all he can do is look at his master with a sullen face. The cat seems to think that sharing is caring; something we’ve barely seen on this list. We’ll just say the cat was doing what a cat does in these particular situations: shut up and mind its own business.
38) Use Caution When Using Stairs
Nobody warned this pooch about what he would find as he reached the top of the staircase. The last obstacle stands before him. One that will test his courage and might and all lessons taught before this moment. It’s time to face the final boss: King Kitty. Will the doggo make it past the kitty? Stay tuned for next week’s episode of, “This Is My House.”
39) Paw And Disorder
Well this escalated quickly! This cat and dog have no room for patience anymore and seemed to have gone full horror movie mode. We hope everything turned out for the best in this scenario as it looks like the sparks flew pretty high in this encounter.
40) You Scratch My Back, I Scratch Yours
They say you should start them small, but it looks like this kitty’s future of being a pest started early. There’s no telling what the issue is on this one, but the dog clearly looks like it’s minding it’s own business while the cat goes for a quick swipe. Whatever the case may be, it’s a learning point for the little girl involved: not everyone out there is willing to be friendly and get along. Just ask these 40 insanely annoying cats.
