We love our pets. They’re so cute and fluffy, with their soft bellies and big, silly paws. It’s no wonder that now with cameras in our phones, we take tons of pictures of our furry friends. The result is sometimes adorable. Unfortunately, sometimes it’s not so good.
And then, of course, sometimes it’s so hilariously bad that there’s nothing to do but post it on the internet for everyone to laugh at.
Don’t be mistaken, we still love our pets during their more awkward moments. If anything, they probably make us love them more. Who doesn’t love seeing a photo of a cat trying to be dignified as it falls off a table or a dog face planting as it runs across a yard?
Call it a baser instinct, but for some reason, when our pets take bad photos, we just can’t get enough of it. Whatever the reason, we’ll never stop loving them at their weirdest, ugliest, or most awkward moments.

So many things are coming to mind looking at this picture. Did the cat eat the hole in the bread and get its face stuck? Did the owners make the hole and put it on the cat? What is happening??
Most black cats don’t conform to their stereotypes at all. Not this guy. If he’s going to be a black cat, he’s going to sit in some Halloween decorations and snarl like a tiny demon.
This is impressively bad, even when it comes to unflattering pet photos. The tongue, the bulging eyes, the pose. We may have a winner. But let’s wait and see.
Considering there’s no accompanying story about Fido getting stung by a bee and having an allergic reaction, I can only assume this is just how his face normally looks. In his defense, he’s still super cute.
This is another sweet one, with a cat that seems to be intensely enjoying a snuggle. At least this unflattering photo was the result of a sweet moment.
Dogs’ enthusiasm for life often comes at the expense of their dignity. Frankly, we should all take a lesson from them. But it doesn’t mean we can’t laugh at them along the way.
What is this dog even doing? Did he forget to put his tongue back in his mouth? Is he trying to taste some yummy bacon in the air? What an adorable little weirdo.
Apparently, this pup really wants to go outside. Or he saw a cat through the window and is dreaming of the chase. Either way, his solution was to make this unnerving face.
Just imagine: you see your sweet little pug sitting on the floor. You decide to take a picture because he’s so cute! You look at your picture and see this bug-eyed little goober.
The best thing about this photo is how he’s literally fogged the window up with his dog breath. He must have been laying like that for a while, nose smashed and teeth sticking out.
